759 South Gaylord Street is currently under construction. We anticipate completion in March of 2024, and we are targeting LEED Platinum for this project. In the Bungalow tradition of Wash Park East, this house features a broad gently sloping gable roof, but perhaps surprisingly, the south pitch of the roof carries a 10kW photovoltaic array that powers two air-to-air heat pumps for heating and cooling. The brick masonry exterior with cast stone trim, the low U-factor Marvin fiberglass windows, and the continuous exterior insulation are all examples of the fusion between traditional Denver architecture and the most current building science. In the kitchen, Crystal Cabinet Works inset painted casework is paired with a Wolf induction cooktop and Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer columns. Fusion comes home.
